Glossworks Nail Polish

Love Lula have just launched a new range of natural nail polishes called Glossworks. As a member of the Love Lula Blogger Programme I had the pleasure of seeing their design idea during production and offer my opinion. So it was very exciting to see the final design for the brand!
Glossworks is a range of 9-free nail polishes formulated to have a "gel like texture and an extremely glossy finish". They are free from Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Paraben, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide and Lead. They are also vegan friendly and cruelty-free.

I have three shades that I chose from their collection to try and I'm very pleasantly surprised. I've tried a lot of natural nail polishes over the last few years. While some are great, others don't tend to last even a day or two on my nails. Others are patchy and not very pigmented. I think I have quite oily nail beds too, so polishes don't tend to last more than a few days anyway. However, these polishes are pretty darn sturdy on my nails. They even stay put after washing my hair (which almost always cause my natural polish to crack!). The bottles are easy to hold and the brush is a decent size. The formula is glossy, fairly quick-drying and most colours are very pigmented.
One Shade of Grey is a light grey that has a slight hint of lilac to it which I think is really pretty. This is definitely my favourite shade out of the three I chose.  I can really see myself wearing this often.

Red Devil is a classic, darker red shade and you literally only need one coat and you can be ready to go as it's so pigmented! I would opt for two but if you're in a rush to get anywhere, one coat would totally be fine!

Blush is a light pink shade that needed three coats to get fully opaque. It was a bit more of a pain to apply than the other two shades and can be a bit patchy as you may be able to see in the photo.  However, it's a nice colour that would be perfect for Spring or an everyday polish that's not too in-your-face.

An added extra to the range is a Nail & Cuticle Oil. The oil is mostly avocado oil which moisturises and softens cuticles and the skin around your nails. The range is rounded off by 2 different top coats, a base coat and a nail polish remover.

The full Glossworks range of 12 polishes is available at Love Lula, retailing at £12.00 each.
